The purpose of processing personal data is to provide information society services to website users, ensure the smooth and secure operation of the website, improve the user experience, and improve how to target the appropriate audience.
The purpose of processing strictly necessary cookies is to enable users to browse this website and utilize its features. These cookies do not store any information about users that could be used for marketing purposes or to remember what users have viewed online.
The purpose of processing analytical cookies is to perform an analysis of how the website is used by the user, generate reports on website traffic, the number of visitors, the number of interactions, or the most visited parts of the website. These cookies collect information about whether error messages were displayed to users. They do not collect information that could identify the users. All information is anonymous. They are used to improve the functionality of websites.
9. Legal basis for processing:
The legal basis for processing strictly necessary cookies is the legal obligation of the controller pursuant to Art. 6(1)(c) of the GDPR: "processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject". The statutory obligation of the Ministry arises from Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on Electronic Communications, as amended.
The legal basis for processing analytical cookies is the consent of the data subject pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR: "the data subject has given consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific purposes". The data subject has the right to withdraw their consent at any time, in which case their personal data will be deleted and can no longer be utilized.
10. Processor processing personal data on behalf of the controller:
The Ministry does not utilize any processor.
11. Sub-processor processing personal data on behalf of the processor:
The Ministry does not utilize any sub-processor.
12. Recipients of personal data:
The Ministry's website provides personal data to the company managing the website and, for analytical purposes, to Google LLC. The Ministry provides personal data to entities authorized to request personal data under special regulations, even if these entities are not considered recipients under the GDPR.
13. Personal data retention period:
Cookies are stored from the moment of collection for a maximum of 12 months or earlier, if the circumstances of collecting or storing cookies change (e.g., if the Ministry sets up a completely new cookie banner, if the Ministry changes the method of collecting or processing cookies, or if the user deletes all cookies in their browser).
14. Transfer of personal data to a third country:
The provider of the analytical tool processes cookies, which also involves the transfer of personal data to third countries. Specifically, in the case of Google Analytics, this involves a transfer to the United States of America (USA). The processing of personal data is carried out on the basis of Art. 45(1) of the GDPR pursuant to the European Commission Adequacy Decision 2023/1795. - b. the right to access personal data, including relevant information regarding its processing,
- c. the right to rectification of inaccurate and completion of incomplete personal data concerning them,
- d. the right to erasure of personal data concerning them,
- e. the right to restriction of processing of personal data,
- f. the right to data portability,
- g. the right to object to the processing of personal data,
- h. the right of the data subject not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated individual decision-making, including profiling.
18. Exercise of data subject rights:
The data subject is entitled to submit a request to exercise their data subject rights with the controller or their Data Protection Officer by mail to the address of the controller, by e-mail to zodpovedna.osoba@mirri.gov.sk or in person at the filing office (podateľňa) of the controller.
19. Withdrawal of consent to the processing of personal data:
- a. if you wish to remove cookies stored on your devices, you can do so using your web browser settings. Usually, you need to click on "Settings" and then on "Cookies and site permissions" / "Privacy and security" and subsequently "Third-party cookies",
- b. in the footer of the Návody na mieru website under the Cookies section, by clicking on the Cookies button, you can trigger the cookie banner at any time and grant/withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data or configure your own cookie preferences.
20. Information on whether the provision of personal data is a statutory or contractual requirement:
The provision of necessary personal data is a statutory requirement: it follows from the legal obligation of the controller pursuant to Section 109(8) of Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on Electronic Communications, as amended. 21. Lodging a complaint with a supervisory authority
If the data subject believes that their rights have been violated in the processing of personal data, they have the right to lodge a complaint initiating personal data protection proceedings with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic in accordance with the provisions of Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection and on amendments to certain acts, as amended.
